Let ’s Rejoice

"Roshni", which means a ray of light, is the name of three children related projects at Ekpere village, in the Diocese of Asansol. SAA stands for the Specialized Adoption Agency, under the direction of Asansol Burdwan Seva Kendra (ABSK). Roshni – SAA, also known as the “flame”, is the first of the three “gems”. The other two projects are: a Boys Home and Home and Training Centre for differently abled children. "Roshni" is not just a name but truly “a ray of hope” for those children that do not have a place to call it home.

The land for the project was paid for by Mr Allan Shenoi (USA); the hard work of negotiating and buying the land was done by Frs Wilson Fernandes and Dolphy Mathias, during their term as ABSK directors.
